Stark Raving Sick Sad Little World

Spent the morning in the NUS library looking at books for my Sociology of Deviance paper. It's really interesting seeing how/ to whom they deciate their books/journals to.

"To my parents"

I laughed at this one. Nothing wrong with dedicating your work to your parents, but somehow the image of a lonely academic with no friends or loved ones came to my mind. So loserly.

"To Eric and Oliver (presumeably his kids) with the hope that the world will be saner by the time they grow up."

It was published in 1967.... Sorry bro.... Sometimes, things only get worse....
