Artsy Fartsy

Too much red in the previous post, how about some blue to even it out?

Wedding Bells

Not too long ago, I attended the wedding dinber of Kevin and Elsie. Seems like it was only yesterday when I first interned in SPH. Now, I've already spent two summers with them. Always uplifiting to see couples tying the knot. Congratulations again!

CHRISTMAS DAY!!! *SCREAMS*

Yay! It's finally Christmas, albeit a very wet one! Hahaha. Had lunch outside with the WHOLE family. Been quite a while since everyone's always busy with work, studies and jail NS. Ate at this kopitiam in Jurong East that's renowned for their curry fish head and steamed fish. Food's ok, though we found a worm (dead) in the veggie.

Aiyah, small issue lah. Well, at least you know your veggie is pesticide free! Haha.

Headed to town to meet my lil sister, Sandra. Always enjoyable and insightful talking to her! She got me a Xmas pressie! Wrapped one somemore! *luffs hysterically* (Sandra will get the joke)

Camera Lucida by Roland Barthes.

It's a book about reflections on Photography. YAY! Thanks again Sandra. Sorry I wasted your juice. Now we know grapefruit and peach do NOT go well together. It's excruciatingly painful to drink.

Headed home for dinner, Daddy made Roast pork and we opened a bottle of Piper Heidsieck pink champagne to share! Woohoo! absolutely decadent.

The cap found on top of the champagne cork

As you can tell, I'm very excited. Xmas is but once a year!

Xmas Eve

Hung out with K1, kinda went on a mini tour of Singapore. We went to Suntec, Golden Mile Complex, Stadium Water Front (Cosy Bay) and Holland Village. First time "counting down" to xmas with greasy fingers in a Kopitiam. She spooks really easily. *winks*

Miss Poon DOMINATING the game

Only photo I've got to show for the night. Cheryl was in her rare moment of "I-dun-wanna-take-photos-today."

Pensive

Was talking with Alphania when I used the term Squandered.

Now, I can't help but think of all the chances and good grace of people that I may have squandered.

Saw this picture with Miss Poon when I was sorting my photos. It reminded me of the one I took with Sandra not too long ago.
It's one of my fave shot!

Digging for Gold

Sorry K2, I think you're a BIT overage to take part in this contest...

It drizzled and we were stuck in Forum, I felt a bit hungry...

Finally leaving Forum

Jingle Bells Are Jingling

Was in town the other day, caught Night In the Museum at Plaza Singapura. Man, that movie is HILARIOUS! Can't say the same for the seats though, we were third row from the front... Had a stiff neck after the show. Headed to Fareast after that, here's some pictures I took of the decor this year.

I was kidding Cheryl and Siling that Paragon had their budget slashed this year, that's why they only decorated HALF their tree. (:

I prefer this shot. Somehow nicer...

Haiz, the decor at Tangs just get gaudier and gaudier yearly, this year's looks like a xmas accessories shop in the Concourse or something. FUGLY! Maybe cause it's a Chinese mall, then every thing must be Ghim Ghim (Golden)

We agreed unanimously that the Sookee Crystal Tree in Bugis is still THE tree this Christmas.
p.s. it's worth 1.5 million dollars I think

Is it just me? Or are the xmas decoration getting from bad to worse?

It Took a Cup of Coffee

Met up with Yvonne and Alphania for dinner last night. Pizza was good, as always. Had coffee with Von after dinner while Alph went for rehearsals. Man, the coffee at TCC is pricey. Though the place was quiet enough for us to have a decent conversation.

It's been almost 2 months, and to a certain extent, both of us has calmed down enough to talk about it. I guessed I was finally able to put into words the various thoughts that I wasn't able to verbalise previously. Tied up some loose ends. Stuff that... I knew but just had to hear from her mouth.

Like I told Cheryl, I believe that things are not meant to be broken. Oh wells.

Ginger spice coffee. To get into the warm toasty Xmassy mood. Too much ginger though, they should just half the amount. Btw, the cup's white.

Sugar bowl

Playing around with the lighting effects on Photoshop.

After Alph was done with rehearsals, the both of us went to IntroV Bar for a drink, talked a lil bit about her and the Doc. And more about me and Von of course. Grins. It's remarkable how outsiders see stuff. Or in her case, how she saw it ALL ALONG. Kept telling her that at times it really teeter on being FARCICAL.
Alph and I both turn beet red at the slightest amount of alcohol. She asked for the train schedule at the control station. I bet my bottom dollar that the counter staff must have thought that we were drunk. Considering I was laughing hysterically behind her.

This is how RED we were.

Alphania Ng, where is the mobility in your mobile phone? (:

Garung Guni

I was throwing out stuff and guess what i found hidden deep within the abyss of my storeroom?

Instruction Manuals for MS-DOS!!!

OMGoodness! How retro is that? Not even windows you know? DOS leh! Do you think Bill Gates would want it for Microsoft's archive? Check out the thickness of it man!!! My textbooks aren't even as thick. AND this is for DOS! Sheesh!

Here's the BOX for the two manuals.

Did You

Did you know that not too long ago, I wished I could be your inspiration?

Day-mare

I dreamt that I was shaving and it kept bleeding. The razor was chipped and jagged when i look at it.

But I went right back at it.

Random Photos

Macro Shot of the glass beads we used during the game workshop. Love the brilliance!

Dan stuck in a kid's chair. Well, at least it fitted. I couldn't even squeeze inside.

Justin getting spooked.

Jack & The Tau Gay

Caught Jack and the Bean Sprout last friday! A Wildrice production that totally rocked! Ivan Heng was cross dressing as Widow Neo... Sebastian Tan was Jack... Jack NEO. MUAHAHAH. Their production every Christmas holidays never ceases to amaze me. Totally worth every cent, especially so since We got a seat upgrade! From circle 2 to circle 1! Yay! Haha, yea I'm such an uncle/cheapo!

Closeup shots of the tickets. I started taking photos of tickets after being inspired by Sandra's Corrine May tickets shot.

Cheryl and I before the show.

Us hamming it up in the theater. We got chided for taking photos inside.

Thanks for joining me Cher! Glad you enjoyed the show!

Momo Saves The Day

I took a Visual Communications module this sememster and the final project was to design a children storybook.

I had the honour and opportunity of working with Ang Sheila. It was great fun. It's true that when you enjoy your work, it's not work at all!

Us after our final presentation.

Look Who's Back

Hello Guys! It's been a while. Grins. A lot has happened during my break. A lot would be an understatement. Will share when I'm ready. In the meantime, this is going to have more pictures! YAY!

Will continue to tweak the blog as I go along. (If i can sustain my interest.)

In the meantime, here's a short photo-log of what has happened lately!
