Weird Dreams

Sometime back, the weird dreams came back to me again. Oh well.

Dreamt that KaiEn shoved Yrene down a skyscraper the other day. I have no idea how they popped into my head. They’re people I know and see every week. But I do not talk to them. Maybe an occasional nod of acknowledgement once in a while and that’s it.

First it was strangers hurling each other off tall buildings. Then it was…

Dreamt that I was showing it to Sandra and she was trying it out. Listening to the music I have on it when, out of the blue, she started shrieking at me violently. “WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING? LISTENING TO SUCH MUSIC?!?!?” Then Sandra started to bitch slap me. Just pulling my head up, slapping me hard, pulling my head up and slapping me hard again.

To add to that, Sheila was at the side. Going “Why don’t you just work on his legs? I haven’t had a friend who broke his leg before, it’ll be nice to have one.”

*Shudders*

Dreamt that I was meeting a group of friends at Citylink, and when one of them arrived, I walked straight up to her and upturned her wrists. Just checking, I can’t help it if she post the following photo on her blog right?



Anyway, I wasn’t gripped with anxiety or anything. It’s like somehow, I know inside me that she’s more sensible than that. So it was kinda like a formality, double-checking. Heh, kinda like watching a movie you already know the ending to. *beams*

Napped at the workplace today, dreamt abt Felicia then. Dreamt that we went out and had this HUGE meal. Just the two of us, sitting down to a hearty PROPER meal. *hints hints*
Guess all the times I chided her for not eating properly has finally gotten to me…

Getting Comfy

Had a really productive time at Cell today. Loads of things to think abt. This is how all conversations and discussions should be. Thought provoking.

Think I’m fitting in really nicely with them. For all the times I’ve made ppl smile, it’s really nice to have people making ME smile for a change. Smile from the bottom of my heart. I sure could get used to them.

Suddenly, I don’t feel as drained as before.

Decade Old

Haven’t been updating recently. Been rather busy. Ok that was a blatant lie. The truth is that I’ve been feeling REALLY lazy.

Anyway, guess what? Had a small primary school outing the other day at Macs, Ginza Plaza. Quite a weird place for a get together. It was more for the convenience of Wu Lao Shi. Heh, didn’t go for the first one at Lau Pat Sat.

People who turned up included Marmun, Weihan, Reuben, Zhifeng, Guorong, Weeseng, Chinguan, Deqi, Luoying, Shokyin, Yvonne, Zhurong, Delphine and Adeline.

Felt really weird sitting among them for the first time in NINE years. Yes, it has been that long. Kinda scary when I think back abt it. Has ten years (almost) gone pass already? It’s so fast. Remember being in primary six? Bet you couldn’t see the present you at all. no chance in hell. Uh-uh! Totally clueless.

Eventually warmed up to them. Let’s see, what’s everybody doing now?

Zhifeng is flying off for an engineering course.
Reuben’s flying off for Bio-Med Science.
Weeseng’s a Chinese physician in training. (No kidding)
Chinguan’s flying off to Shanghai for Chinese studies.
Shokyin’s taking accounting.
Zhurong’s a social worker in the making.
Yvonne’s taking psychology in NUS.
Adeline’s reading lit and philosophy in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Goodness. All of them seemed to be doing really well man! Esp. Adeline who’s on the SPH scholarship. Four years Direct masters. *whew weet* She’s interning for the Newpaper while she’s back for vacation. Caught her article on Wed and Fri. Pretty cool. Haven’t bought the tabloid for years. Got the copies to support her. Just felt different knowing that a friend of yours actually wrote whatever you’re reading. Heh.

Everybody changed. For one, everybody’s looking less dorky. Delphine managed to dig out some photos of us in P6. Goodness… Quite a hoot actually. Remembered that Adeline, Zoe and Luoying were the three tallest back in school. Haha, it isn’t so now. Felt really weird. Guess maybe somewhere inside, the impression that they’re much taller have stuck over the years.

Somethings never go away no matter how many times you flushed. Heh. All the fond memories came right back. Most of us still address Chinguan as Da Tou (Big head) for obvious reasons. As with most gatherings, some couldn’t recognize me.

There’s something abt Chinguan and Adeline though. They were “nemesis” back then. Always pitting against each other for better grades. Well, guess what? Something in their eyes gave away enough… They may not be competing against each other ever since we left Pri School, but something abt them… can tell they haven’t lost their competitive streak. It’s just that, they seemed to have cooled down over the years. Less impetuous, less eager to prove themselves to others. It’s like… they’re good and they know it.

Oh well, really happy for them. seems like the class is doing really well on the whole. Wu Lao shi must have been proud. Missed the time we spent together in mandarin classes. She’s retired since. Now she occupies herself by babysitting her three grandchildren.

Headed for bowling after the gathering. Bowled a 116. quite surprised. The last time I bowled, didn’t even hit a 70. Hmmm. Lucky fluke I guess. Made plans to send Chinguan off, yet to be finalized. hope it works out.

Are We All Blind To What We Do?

It’s really queer. Sometimes, people are too hasty in passing judgment on the actions of others. We call others immoral, bitchy and maybe even unethical. But do we realize that the very essence of what we’re doing may actually be the same?

Maybe it’s human nature, we’re less willing to see our own wrongs. It is always easier to find a common scapegoat and “unload” everything onto him/her. Maybe…. It’s a projection of our own guilt onto others, so as to make us feel better.

Sometimes We Do Not Do The Things We Want To Do, So That Others Won’t Know We Want To.

Caught “The Village” with Ming on Wed. It was pretty ok (the movie), had a great lunch with Ming before that. Think her new hairstyle (it’s longer) and hair color suits her very well. Heh, plus it’s quite rare seeing her carry a tote bag.

The show’s pretty ok. The twist had a pretty “Chey…” feel to it. Am not bullshitting. But I guessed that the “creatures” were a hoax the min I saw them on the screen. What gave them away? Well, they were looking to human; walking upright on its hind, having two arms like we do and the ultimate giveaway? It wore a bright red cape.

Ppppuuuhhh-lleeaazzeee. No alien/boogy monster/thing/glob/out of this world beings wears a cape. Unless they mutated from a human form in the first place. Shheeesh.

Still, the movie’s quite worth catching. If all u want is to do is to sit back and to enjoy a lazy story. Shalln’t go into details here. Else it’ll make the movie totally worthless to watch.

It Has Begun

Did something the other day. Something I hadn’t done in more than two years.

I actually went to the library and borrowed books.

For those who know me, borrowing has been quite a taboo for me. Have always tried to buy my own books whenever possible. Heh. Ming wanted to drop by, so I went along.

Goodness, the library has changed so much. Now, it’s like u can actually HANG OUT there. And there’s this level for teens? You can bring your own cds in and there are loads there for you to choose from too.

Haha was in quite a rush. So I just grabbed two books by Ethan Hawke, Heard that they were excellent reads. Will let you guys know when I’m done.

Hairy Business.

On the topic of hair. Quite a number of my friends got their hair done. Haha, I am going for a slightly different style these days too. The word here is slight. Can’t do anything TOO outrageous while I’m still in the army. No one noticed so far though…

Torrent Rawks

As most of you know, wasn’t at work for the past two days. Was clearing my offs. Anyway, for the short two days that I was home. I watched a grand total of three movies (excluding The Village). With Bit Torrent, I downloaded Azumi, Battle Royale (Director’s cut) and Hero. All bloody movies. Heh. Loved them to bits. It’s so easy to use. And I’ve downloaded two complete acid jazz albums, four Incubus albums, Maroon Five’s album, four Judas Priest albums, Velvet Revolver’s latest albums and six of Weezer’s album. All these without ANY bogus music file. DIE KAZAA DIE!!!! Bit torrent is here to stay!

First thing first, this has nothing to do with me. (sort of) nothing to do with me in the sense that I’m not seeing anyone now, NOR is there anyone I wish I am seeing.

Heh. Been reading a bit from some of my friends’ blogs. Some has gotten hitched, some are dating, and some are… missing their ex. And I was there just reading and listening and reading and listening. When this voice (nope! I’m not on marijuana) in my head asked,

“Do I like her or am I just lonely?”

Funny this question should popped into my head. Cause, I’m not exactly dating now. Hell! I’m not even looking for someone to date. I’m just moving along. Trying to continue breathing and get on through life. But stop and think I did and….

I’m just lonely. I can now say that. No more denial, no more delusions and no more excuses. I’ve come to accept that fact. Have you?

I do share food. But it really depends on the situation. If I’m out with another friend and we order different dishes, I’m pretty all right if my friend wants to have a go at my dish. Sharing food this way is acceptable still, BUT not when you’re out in a grp of more than two and when EVERYONE else wants a go at ur food. By the time they’re through, there’ll be none for me…. *Whines* Order your own dang food!

Caucasian Beauty

Wat’s wrong with the camp guys. Can’t stand them, fucking racist shit. They’re the kind that’ll never take a second look at Caucasian ladies. Simply dismisses them as “Ang Moh” crap…. Well, FUCK YOU. *Sticks both fingers out*

Some of the prettiest and most pleasant people on earth are Caucasians ok? And I’ve always had this thing for Caucasian ladies. They look gorgeous with their much more prominent features. Look at Uma Thurman, Angelina Jolie and of course, Paris-the dumb-but-rich-blonde-Hilton.

Everyone Wants To Hump Zhang Ziyi

Caught the “House OF Flying Daggers” today. Quite an all right movie. Being a typical guy, enjoyed the fight scenes a lot. The things Director Zhang comes up with. Brilliance… Sheer brilliance…

Plenty of eye candy in the form of Takeshi and Andy Lau. Plenty of drool fodder in the form of Zhang Ziyi. Plenty of Advertising opportunity for whitening lotion in the form of Zhang Ziyi baring her snow white skin. Plenty of instances whereby you feel that everybody lives just to hump Zhang, in the form of the two hunks forcing themselves on Zhang.

Still, it’s rather enjoyable. Rather “Infernal Affairs-ish”. The people behind me kinda chuckled when I couldn’t help myself and went “Wat the hell? Period Infernal Affairs?” Grins. It’s not bad at all. Honest. Go watch it.
